Q1. You’ve made celebrities relive one of the most emotional milestones of their lives, their first car. Was there any guest whose story left you speechless or even emotional enough to rethink your own journey?
A. Yes. One story that has truly stayed with me is Pooja Gor’s. She spoke about her Formula 1 experience, and ever since then, driving a Formula 1 car has become a part of my bucket list. I still remember watching Pooja years ago when she was nervous about driving, and today seeing her confidently take on such an incredible experience was truly inspiring. It reminded me that we should never let fear stop us from chasing our dreams.
Q2. Imagine if Bollywood’s most iconic cars could be guests on Auto Affairs, which three would you invite, and what questions would you ask them about the stars who drove them?
A. I’d invite the Sholay bike, Munna Bhai’s taxi, and the car from Mr. India. I’d ask them what they witnessed behind the scenes and what they revealed about the personalities of the stars who drove them.
Q3. Most celebrity interviews revolve around films, controversies, or upcoming projects. Were you ever nervous that a podcast centered on ‘first cars’ might sound too niche? At what moment did you realize you had discovered something truly special?
A. Not really. I believed every first car has an emotional story attached to it. The moment guests began sharing life lessons instead of just talking about cars, I knew the concept had struck the right chord.
Q4. If you could bring back one legendary personality, someone no longer with us, for a dream episode of Auto Affairs, who would it be, and what do you think their ‘first car’ story would reveal about them that the world never knew?
A. I’d choose Ratan Tata. I believe his first car story would reveal the simplicity, humility, and vision that defined him long before he became an icon.
Q5. After hearing so many inspiring stories of struggle and success, has Auto Affairs changed Kanika Maheshwari as a person? Is there one life lesson from a guest that has stayed with you and perhaps even changed the way you look at success?
A. Absolutely. One conversation that really stayed with me was with Kiku Sharda. When I asked him about people’s perception of him while portraying female characters, the way he answered was incredibly inspiring. I would encourage everyone to watch that conversation on Auto Affairs because his perspective on identity, performance, and staying true to yourself is something that has remained with me ever since.
