From Ramp to reality with Pernia’s Pop-up Runway!

Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop had an exclusive launch of Pernia’s Pop-Up Runway Spring/Summer 2019 in support of Smile Foundation. Shining a spotlight on India’s creative designers who designed exclusive and trendsetting collections for Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop, the runway collections are now available on their online as well as offline stores – Pernia’s Pop-Up Studio and The Stylist. The participating designers included Rina Dhaka, Soup by Sougat Paul, Deme by Gabriella, Samant Chauhan and
Rippi Sethi while Kubbra Sait, Rakul Preet, Mandana Karimi, Divya Khosla Kumar and Shama Sikander walked as their showstoppers respectively. 

The general theme of the show was fresh, eclectic and vibrant.  As Manasi Scott hosted the event presenting each designer and their collection, she also graced the stage with a stunning performance. 

Pernia’s Pop-Up Runway supported Smile Foundation’s initiative ‘She Can Fly’ which is an effort to enable, equip and empower girl children with quality education, proper nutrition, good health, adequate skills, and above all a lot of self-confidence to help them live their lives to their fullest potential. The runway showcased Smile foundation’s ‘Ramp for champs’ which included 21 women accompanied by little children walking the ramp. Dressed in beautiful handwoven sarees by Sailesh Singhania; Isha Kopikkar, Dipika Singh, Debina Bonnerjee, Shriya Kolte and Shanya Kapur amongst others graced the ramp to support the initiative.
