The Wedding Junction – a Luxurious Wedding Expo kicks off with leading B-town showstoppers for renowned couture designers at Jio Garden, Mumbai

The Wedding Junction Show continued the celebrations of its second day with a successful showcase by leading fashion designers, who exhibited their upcoming collection for the wedding season. The 2 day exhibition curated by celebrity stylist Ami Patel brought together the best bridal designers, brands and vendors from the Indian wedding industry under one roof.

The second day opened the series of fashion shows with designer Kehia by Kashmiraa who showcased her bridal collection which comprised of chic & contemporary designs.The young designer had the stunning Malaika Arora Khan who walked the ramp for her. This was followed by Sonal Chauhan fronting Sneha Parekh’s debut bridal collection. The next showcase was by designer renowned celebrity designer Shehlaa Khan who unveiled her festive/bridal collection with jewellers Motisons and they had the fabulous Jacqueline Fernandez take stage for them. Fashion stalwart Debarun Mukherjee then displayed his latest wedding collection comprising of intricate embroidered pieces with jewellers Zewar and the stunning debutant Kritika Kamra took a graceful bow for them. Reeti Arneja showcased her glistening ensemble with Daisy Shah closing for them. The finale show for day 2 was by designer Sulkashana Monga in association with Maalka fine jewellery, who had the gorgeous Karishma Tanna taking the ramp to present his stunning bridal line up.

The Wedding Junction Show which comprises of the leading bridal designers showcasing their latest wedding collections along with star-studded designer fashion shows, workshops and seminars promises to be a dream comes true for brides-to-be! Fashion stalwarts like Manish Malhotra, Tarun Tahiliani, Monisha Jaisingh along with young guns like Sonakshi Raaj, Shehla Khan, Debarun Mukherjee, Cherie D have all displayed their latest bridal collections along with leading brands such as AS Motiwala, CH Jewels, Genting Dreams, Wella Professionals and the likes.

The Wedding Junction Show commenced its first day with a successful showcase by leading fashion designers, who exhibited their upcoming collection for the wedding season. The 2 day exhibition curated by celebrity stylist Ami Patel has brought together the best bridal designers, brands and vendors from the Indian wedding industry under one roof.

Opening the series of fashion shows on the first day was designer Bindani by Jigar& Nikita who showcased their A/W bridal collection which comprised of chic & contemporary designs and partnering with them were jewellers Motisons. They had the stunning Soha Ali Khan close the show for them. This was followed by Swara Bhaskar fronting Richa Malkani’s bridal collection. The next showcase was by designer label Aroka who unveiled their ‘Lasya’ collection with jewellers Rodasi and they had the fabulous Radhika Apte take stage for them. Sonaakshi Raaj then displayed her latest collection comprising of romantic hues with jewellers AS Motiwala and the effervescent Fatima Shaikh took a graceful bow for them. Cherie D showcased her glistening ensemble with Studio Reves with Ujjwala Raut closing for them. The finale show for day 1 was by designer Shantanu Goenka, who had the gorgeous Karishma Kapoor taking the ramp to present his stunning bridal line up.

The Wedding Junction kicked off its second edition with a unique panel discussion with prominent members of the Wedding industry such as Ami Patel (Celebrity Stylist), Naresh Rawal, VP Sales – Genting Cruise Lines , Sonaakshi Raaj (Designer), Ashraf Motiwala (Owner – AS Motiwala), Siddhant Mandaliya, Director – CH Jewels  and many more. The event was held on Saturday, August 11 at one of Mumbai’s most luxurious hotels, Hotel-Sofitel, BKC.

The event was a preview to the larger showcase that will take place on 26-27 October 2018 at Jio Garden, BKC. The panel discussion saw a variety of opinions and insights on India’s most booming industry. Weddings, as we are well aware of, has now become a yearlong affair and without of box weddings being the new trend we see how jewelers, cruise lines have been customizing their services and products to suit the new age bride and groom.

The event began with an introduction to each of the members that are potentially making a difference to the wedding industry. Actress Rhea Chakraborty looked stunning in a classic Aroka outfit. After some light banter and insightful opinions shared across the table, the show ended with an unconventional fashion show.

The event was curated by Ami Patel, who said, “This year The Wedding Junction takes off with a very interesting and informative talk on the wedding industry as a whole. Exchanging ideas and opinions from members of the industry who play a crucial role was very exciting. I am thrilled to be part of kicking off with this year’s edition!”
