Preeti Narang‘s book Prodigal Love tells the tale of Samaira, an Indian girl who is beautiful, smart, independent, and ambitious. She works in the IT industry in the UK. She despises planned weddings and is searching for the ideal spouse. But because Indian society expects a girl to get married by the age of 25, she is obliged to abandon her luxurious life in the UK and return to India. As we discovered, her life changed drastically as a result of her decision to marry her boyfriend.

It was an eye-opener based on true events that surprised and perplexed us. A tale that takes place in the UK, India, and the USA centers on an Indian girl and the love of her life. The challenges and turbulence she faces in life and in society. The book is a depiction of the intricacy of contemporary Indian society and culture. It’s a story about fate, destiny, love, and much more.  

Every chapter of Samaira’s life is riveting, and the book has a distinctly personal feel to it. We must have had a similar circumstance at some point in our lives. In addition to being a fun narrative, it teaches you why people trust and distrust one another these days. Samaira was a victim of fraud. It serves as a lesson on how a con artist may enter your life quickly and steal not just your money, but also your soul.

A must-read for those who haven’t experienced this to avoid being duped and for those who have to remind you that you’re not alone and to battle it out instead of giving up.

No one can feel the pain of people who have lost someone special in their families, Neighbours, Relatives, Friends, Colleagues during Covid. Filmmaker Abhijit Sinha tries to touch the hearts of all those who are suffering due to their loss. Duayein a short film directed by Abhijit Sinha under his home production Euphoria Films is one such masterpiece.

The Short Film based on the story by Journalist Anshu Singh is a true depiction of sorrow and hope. The director once again has proved his mettle. The amazing direction of tight griped script and storyline is worth appreciation. Actors Aprajita Kashyap and Shruti Priya have powerfully played their emotional characters on screen.

Music is soothing. Music composer duo Muneer Husain and Aditi Roy have done justice and are exceptionally well with their song composition- “ Hum Hai Na”. A soulful melodious track sung by very talented Aditi Roy and the lyrics is by Shobhna Thakur.

Nisha Prabhat, an upcoming talent and surprise package has handled the role very well as a cinematographer and editor.

Overall a must-watch. The film has a human connection & touch. This project is a true example of Women Empowerment as the majority of the crew is young talented women.

This is the story of a 19-year-old, confused, energetic, fiery Puja, who is clueless about her dreams and aspirations. She believes – life is complicated and only super-achievers have it figured out. Her strict mother sends her to a rural location in Kerala to spend her summer vacation doing volunteer work. She is energetic, impulsive, but a confused teen. She meets a boy named Arush in Kerala while on her volunteer work. Arush is a 20-year-old boy who is seemingly opposite to Puja. He is studious, an explorer, and a shy one. He is brought up in Britain and has never been to India, he is elated when he gets a chance to volunteer for summer at Wayanad in Kerala and he takes it up.

With a lack of internet and other distractions, both spend time together and eventually fall in love. But as said falling in love and staying in love are not the same thing, the disaster strikes putting a lot of strain on their relationship where Puja is forced to confront the harsh realities of life. This picture-perfect fairytale doesn’t last long as Arush realizes that India is not as perfect as he thought it was.

What will happen to their love?
Will it stand the test of time?
Is it strong enough to survive forces beyond their control?

The story is well-narrated and insightful. The characters in the story seem to have an in-person connection with the reader. Most of the incidents will make you feel that you have personally experienced in your life as well and see yourself in some of them. It emotionally moves the reader. The story is all about adventure, discovering yourself, and following your heart. Additionally, it talks about the decision-making abilities that lead you to either the problems or solutions. One of the most amazing things about the book is the descriptions of Kerala and its history. Like Preeti Shenoy’s other books, this one is also highly recommended as it teaches you and motivates you!

A gripping investigative crime thriller – Abhay 2 is back with Abhay Pratap Singh as a top-notch cop investigating the series of heinous and violent crimes. Kunal khemu plays the lead role of the investigating officer with Chunkey Pandey and Ram Kapoor joining the party being the most barbaric and horrifying criminals as one can get.

Premiered on 14 August 2020 on ZEE5, directed by Ken Ghosh and produced by B.P. Singh, the series stars Kunal Khemu, Ram Kapoor, Chunky Pandey, Bidita Bag, Raghav Juyal, Indraneil Sengupta, and Asheema Vadaan.
Though there is a plethora of crime thriller web shows on digital OTT space but one of the most popular Hindi crime thriller shows is Abhay streaming on ZEE5. After the success of its first season, the makers have launched it’s Season 2.

Abhay 2 features some merciless and dangerous criminals being on the move in Lucknow for organized criminal activities. The series revolves around the remorseless and blood-filled murders. The story directly brings to the point without wasting much of its viewer’s time.

The episode called Bone Soup showcases Chunkey Pandey as a twisted man who eats the brains of scholar kids. Ram Kapoor plays the role of the most merciless antagonist of this season. He enters in the later episodes but manages to keep up the fear and suspense intact. He is a mysterious man who kidnaps a bus full of kids along with their teacher and kills a noted journalist. He does this all to get the cop Abhay’s attention. Bidita Bag embraces her dark, rebellious side as she has been portrayed as a sadist psycho killer. She finds orgasmic pleasures in inflicting pain and ultimately pulls teeth out of dead bodies as a souvenir.

The second season of Abhay is much more interesting for which audience can be glued to their sets. It is grand in terms of the star cast and their performances. Kunal Khemu has taken it to the next level of performance in terms of being a protagonist and Ram Kapoor has proved to be the most merciless antagonist in season 2. The stories are based on true events. It was really important to bring out such stories to make people aware and more alert. The series has been written and edited very beautifully. The performances are highly effective and heart touching.

We will preferably give 4 out 5 for the series, the series is amazing and keeps the audience tightly gripped until the last episode. You can watch the series streaming on ZEE5. It is recommended not to watch it with kids and elderly family members, there are heart wrecking and disturbing scenes.

The 1 hr and 42 minutes duration of the film gives you an elaborated idea of the struggles that a mediocre or a poor family faces while dealing with the education system of our country. Despite being extraordinary in studies how a child is kept deprived of his basic need for good education in private schools due to the exorbitant amount that they charge as fees.

The story revolves around Adil Hussain who plays the role of a rickshaw puller in Bihar and believes in #SapneSachKarenge. He desire’s to see his son attend the city’s best English-medium private school.

While the others he meets daily takes a jibe on his socio-economic standing in the society, and education system in the country, he strives hard to save money and pay a huge amount for his only son’s education in a private school. It’s a story of a father’s struggle to fulfill his son’s dreams and desires of #SapneSachKarenge. The narrative of the story is highly dramatized to put forward the conflicts between class, language, and education in India.

The role of Adil Hussain’s wife in the movie is played by Priyanka Bose who works overtime in a utensil factory to save for her studious son (BulBul). Due to all this hassle of getting his son admitted to the best English Medium Private School, Adil Hussain lands into the mess with Police and courts. Sanjay Suri finds him a way out and becomes the film’s saviour despite having such a small stint in the film. He is a top cop who begins teaching the kids in Ambedkar Colony in his spare time.

It’s a back-breaking job to be a rickshaw puller. Adil Hussain has done an unbelievably amazing job as Buchchi. The film has a lot of old-style melodrama dialogues and unlike regular bollwood movies, this film lacks glamour which gives a realistic approach to it. Prakash Jha is quite aware of his Bihar accents, the cadences, and the look of the character of the sahukars and sahebs. I personally feel an amazing job done by Adil Hussain and Priyanka Bose. The film is a one time watch and grabs your eyeballs to focus on one more social problem creeping into becoming big. This film has conveniently proven the statement that society has killed more dreams.
